Services Offered From Your Decatur Veterinarian

Here at Fairview Hospital for Animals, we are dedicated to you and your pets. As such, we offer a number of services to assist in ongoing care. Some of the services we offer include:

Pet Veterinarian

Emergency & Urgent Care

Some issues with your pet cannot wait for an appointment. Luckily, you can count on Fairview Hospital for Animals to help you with these issues. If you need emergency or urgent care services, we are here for you. We can assist you if your pet has been injured or struck with a serious illness. Call us or contact us right away if you have need for our services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our goal is to get your pet the assistance he or she needs quickly to assure the best chance of a full recovery.

Spay and Neuter

Having your pet spayed and neutered is an important aspect of responsible pet ownership. Spay and neuter surgeries curb overpopulation and reduce your pet's risk for several types of cancer and behavioral problems. We also perform ACL repairs, declawing, C-Sections, patellar luxation repairs, exploratory/laparotomy surgeries, and skin and organ biopsy procedures.

You may think of Fairview Hospital for Animals as the place to go when your pets need vaccinations or a yearly exam. However, we are also here when you need surgical assistance too. Some of the common surgeries we offer include mass removal, foreign object removal, orthopedic procedures and declawing. Our team of doctors and technicians go the extra mile to assure that every pet is comfortable and cared for perfectly throughout the entire procedure. We will always give you beloved pet the care they need.

Microchipping your cat or dog is one of the best ways you can prevent losing your beloved pet. The process only takes seconds, and then your pet’s information will be entered in a central database so that if he or she is found by someone, a vet can scan the pet, find your info and reunite you. This is one service we recommend to all our patients, to help protect the pet in case your pet gets lost.

Laser Therapy

There are a number of uses for laser therapy in treating animals. This is a relatively new procedure but can be used to help alleviate the pain of arthritis and help wounds heal more quickly--among other benefits. Our veterinarian team is dedicated to providing the best services possible, and new technologies such as laser therapy can be a great way for us to do just that.

Flea & Tick Treatment

Fleas and ticks are major pests to cats and dogs. We offer a number of flea and tick treatments to help kill existing pests and prevent recurrence. We’ll work with you to choose the treatment that is best for your pet.

Pet Vaccinations

Regularly-scheduled checkups ensure that your pet is current on their Rabies vaccinations and other preventative health matters such as monthly flea and tick preventatives and heartworm medication. Aside from required Rabies vaccinations, we also recommend vaccinations against Distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis and Bordetella ("kennel cough") for dogs. Recommended pet vaccinations for cats include feline distemper and feline leukemia. During regular checkups, we also test for parasites and discuss other health concerns so we can catch problems before they become difficult to treat.

I visit Fairview Animal Hospital at least once a week for a few of my fur-babies to receive laser therapy and the ENTIRE staff always shows genuine concern for my babies as well as me. They are always completely honest in the care they believe my pets need and only suggest treatments that they firmly believe would help my babies comfort. I have six dogs and two cats who all have their own issues and they know them all by name, know what their problems are and cater to their individual needs. The best part of this staff, is that every single one of my babies thoroughly enjoys their visits which is most important to me.
